LONDON . FEBRUARY 2020

VAULT Festival is London and the UK’s biggest, boldest and wildest curated arts and entertainment festival.  One of VAULT Festival's missions is to create the most accessible platform for creators to innovate, collaborate, explore and achieve and through which audiences can discover the bravest and boldest artistry.

8ROJO's award winning piece THE LOST HOURS, will have the opportunity to be part of this exciting event, February 5-9, 2020.

CALGARY. JANUARY 2019 - AUGUST . 2019

8ROJO has dedicated this time to remount and re- develop its award winning piece THE LOST HOURS, The creation will be presented in Calgary in September 2019 .

CALGARY. SEPTEMBER 2019

8ROJO will premiere THE LOST HOURS, in Calgary, as part of BEAKERHEAD 2019 from September 12-22, 2019 at Arts Commons, Motel Theatre.

CALGARY . JANUARY 2018 - AUGUST . 2018

8ROJO's ensemble dedicated this time to workshop AFTER, a new creation to premiere in August of 2018, at the Taipei Artist Village in Taiwan. 

TAIPEI . AUGUST 2018

8ROJO presented AFTER at the Taipei Artist Village in Taipei, Taiwan, from August 9-11. The world premiere of AFTER played to sold out houses and audience acclaim. The creation was presented in association with Dadaiii Artist Collective (in partnership  with Oh! Life Association of Arts and Culture - OLA), Canadian Trade Office in Taipei and Alberta Taiwan Office

The Taiwan presentation of AFTER  was possible through the generous support of:  Alberta Foundation for the Arts. 

CALGARY. OCTOBER 2018

8ROJO presented AFTER, at the Lantern Church in Calgary, Canada. The Calgary presentation of AFTER  was possible through the generous support of: Calgary Arts Development and Canada Council for the Arts. 

PARIS . DECEMBER 2017

As part of the Biennale des Arts du Mime et du Geste, the festival MIMESIS - Arts du Mime et du Geste, is a display of short pieces from creators in France and guest international artists; representing the diversity and dynamics of contemporary creation in physical and visual performance.

8ROJO's award winning piece THE LOST HOURS, had the opportunity to be the opening act, representing Canada from December 8-10, 2017 at International Visual Theatre in Paris.              Four additional performances were added to the Mimesis festival, in order to accommodate all audience members interested in our Dalí inspired creation.

The Paris presentation of THE LOST HOURS  was possible through the generous support of:  Canada Council for the Arts, Alberta Foundation for the Arts, and WestJet Airlines.

STOCKHOLM . OCTOBER 2016

After Mexico City and Prague, Stockholm hosted 8ROJO's third international presentation. Our new performance piece THE LOST HOURS had a premiere of its revised version at the STOFF FESTIVAL  in Sweden; October, 2016. 

THE LOST HOURS was awarded the 'Innovation in Performance' prize and was nominated for the 'Grand Prix'' award.

The Stockholm presentation of THE LOST HOURS was made possible through the generous support of:                              Canada Council for the Arts, Calgary Arts Development, Alberta Foundation for the Arts, WestJet Airlines and many individuals who donated funds towards this presentation.

CALGARY .  JUNE 2015 - SEPTEMBER 2016

8ROJO's ensemble dedicated this time to develop the piece THE LOST HOURS.

PRAGUE . MAY 2015

 

8ROJO’s NERUDA NUDE was selected as one of the productions to represent Canada at the 2015 Prague Fringe Festival. 

NERUDA NUDE  performed at Divadlo Na Prádle, May 26 - 30, 2015 in the Czech Republic. 

 

The company included ensemble members Kristin Eveleigh, Marcy Lannan, Norma Lewis, Elan Pratt, Patrick Quinn and Michael Rogers; with guest artist Mike Tan and directed by Javier Vilalta.

 

This presentation of NERUDA NUDE was made possible through the generous support of:              Canada Council for the Arts and WestJet Airlines.

 MEXICO CITY .  MARCH 2015 

 

Members of 8ROJO travelled to Naucalpan, Mexico to collaborate with local artists and the general public.

 

'Movements: Creation and Exploration' is an 8ROJO workshop that was shared with Mexican artists and the community at large at Teatro Bicentenario, the week of March 23, 2015. 

 

The Naucalpan cultural collaboration was made possible with the generous collaboration of:
